Spring Jazz Big Band Weekend
Come and join a bunch of like-minded, big band players for a weekend of contemporary big band music from Stan Kenton to Tom Kubis, Buddy Rich to Sammy Nestico, and everything in between!
You'll get every opportunity to play jazz, sectional and ensemble sessions, in a comfortable surroundings, with regular coffee and meal breaks, and after the days session, a quick freshen up and we all pop along to the Wortley Arms at the end of the drive for some amazing food, beers and wines - and the famous jam session until late!
There is no charge for the sessions, a very small charge towards coffee and lunch, you'll just have to cover the cost of your reduced-rate room, or alternatively, if you're local, you may prefer to come as a day visitor.
Wortley Hall welcomes you to experience true Yorkshire hospitality. A fusion of traditional and contemporary design, Wortley Hall is a delightful place to stretch your big band playing, and legs!
